An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) the police constable was injured during a brief shootout between militants and security forces in Soura area.

The deceased cop has been identified as SgCT Amir Hussain Lone of Kupwara. 

 

“In a brief shootout at #Soura area of Srinagar City, SgCT Amir Hussain Lone R/O Kupwara got injured & attained #martyrdom. We pay rich tributes to the #martyr & stand by his family at this critical juncture,” police said in a Tweet. (KNS)
