Srinagar, Nov 05 (KNS): Police in Baramulla Thursday claimed to have arrested murder accused absconding since 2013, sparking protests in Palhalan area.
“Parvaiz Ahmad Gojri of Palhallan Pattan who is an accused in a murder case FIR No 264/2013 under Section 302, 307, 148, 149, 511 RPC,” a police spokesman said, adding the incident had taken place on October 16, 2013.

After the news spread, youth started protests and blocked Srinagar-Baramulla highway.
However, police said after this some miscreants from Palhallan village pelted stones on and created disturbances.
“They were chased by police and highway was made through,” the spokesman said. (KNS)
