Following the instructions of Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a high level delegation comprising of senior Hurriyat leaders including Javaid Ahmad Mir, Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi , GN Zaki and others were on their way to Pulwama to express their solidarity and sympathy with the families of martyrs when they were waylaid near Panthachowk and arrested by the police.

While condemning the arrest of Hurriyat (M) leaders by the police, the spokesman said the rulers were ruling the state purely through police and military means. Like past, the spokesman stated that the present dispensation has accepted it’s defeated on political and public fronts since it too is resorting dictatorial means to suppress people’s aspirations.
