Pattan February 11 (KNS): Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drugs from the society, Police has arrested a drug peddler in Pattan and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
Official Sources Told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that Police Post Palhallan received Specific input about the drug peddling in Ghat area of Palhallan.
However, Acting Swiftly On the directions of SDPO Pattan Mohmmad Nawaz Khanday, Do Palhallan Sub insp. Aaeraf Tactfully Caught the Accused with charis like substances
Subsequently police arrested the Drug peddler and 104 grams of Charis was recovered from the accused, a case was registered under relevant sections of law and the further investigation has been initiated.
They said during the initial investigation the accused was identified as Sahil Ahmad Malik S/O Mohd Ashraf Malik R/O Singhpora Pattan
Moreover A Police official Told KNS That Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood.
He said Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. "Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace." He added. (KNS)
