Srinagar, Sep 20 (KNS): Police on Wednesday detained scores of Anganwadi workers who were on hunger strike at Srinagar's Press Enclave to press the Government over their demands of increasing the monthly honorarium.
According to the KNS correspondent, the hunger strike of the Amaganwadi workers today entered in third day.
The protesters assembled at Press Enclave here and held sit-in against what they termed as the failure of authorities over increasing their monthly dues.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The workers earlier attempted self-immolation to mark a protest against the state government.
On the third consecutive day today, the protesters sit-in at Press Enclave here during which the state women police reached the spot and detained the workers.
The protesters tried to resist and raised slogans in favour of their demands. (KNS)
