Poacher apprehended along with firearms in Budgam

Srinagar, Mar 13 (KNS): Central wildlife control room along with forest protection force on Sunday claimed to have arrested a poacher and also seized fire arms from him in Narkara Nambal area of Budgam.

 
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that on a specific input a joint operation was launched by Central Wildlife Control room, led by range officer Sajid Farooq,and Sanjay Razdan Assistant director forest protection force, unit (K-03) budgam in Narkar Nambal area of Budgam.
 
“During the raid one person namely Ali Mohammad Najar son of Mohammad Akbar Najar of Nadroo Budgam was arrested for poaching of migratory birds,” he said.
 
He said that three single barrel bore guns, five live cartridges were also seized and search has also been launched to arrest other accused who fled from the spot.
 
“Complaint for FIR against the apprehended person has been lodged in police station and investigations have been taken up under Wildlife Protection Act,”of 1972 he said. (KNS)
