New Delhi, May 8 (KNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today chaired a high-level meeting with Secretaries of key ministries to assess national preparedness and enhance coordination amid recent security developments.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of seamless coordination across ministries and agencies to maintain operational continuity and institutional resilience.
Secretaries were directed to conduct a thorough review of their ministries' operations, focusing on emergency response, internal communication protocols, and readiness of essential systems.

Discussions also covered strengthening civil defence, countering misinformation and fake news, and securing critical infrastructure. Ministries were advised to maintain close coordination with state authorities and on-ground institutions.
The meeting was attended by the Cabinet Secretary, senior PMO officials, and Secretaries from ministries including Defence, Home, External Affairs, I&B, Power, Health, and Telecommunications.
