Srinagar, Mar 20 (KNS): The Bureau of Pharma Public Sector Undertakings of India (BPPI) Monday conducted a daylong seminar at Institute of Hotel Management Rajbagh here.
While welcoming the participants, Rift Nazir, state coordinator BPPI said that the BPPI is planning to conduct a series of such awareness programmes to make the stakeholder and public in gerneral aware about the benefits of PMJAY through which quality generic medicines are made available to people at affordable price. However, she described today's program as special as it involved high level government officers from the drug control deptt, senior media persons and civil society organisations.

Drug controller Mr. Parvaiz Ahmad, Former Chairman PSC Mohammad Shafi Pandit, Senior Broadcaster Brij Nath Betab, Theater Director and Playwright Amin Bhat, TV Anchor and Broadcaster Azhar Hajini, Chairperson Help Foundation Nighat Shafi and other dignitaries.
Assistant Director Drug, Parvaiz Ahmed described the revamping of the Jan Aushadhi Scheme as a great step by the Prime Minster of India which would have enormous economic and social benefits for the poor patients.
