Srinagar, Mar 22 (KNS): As the meeting between Prime Minster and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti ended on a positive note, hopes of a new PDP led government in Jammu and Kashmir have rekindled and it is likely that the state would witness a PDP-BJP government soon. According to KNS, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti while terming her meeting with Prime minster Narendra Modi as ‘positive’ told reporters in New Delhi that, since her party had authorized her to take the final decision on government formation, however, she would get back to the party before a final word is spoken on the government formation. She said that she has convened Party legislative meeting on Thursday which is the appropriate forum to take future course of action.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe fresh developments have raised hopes among people of a PDP-BJP combination government taking over in the state again after nearly two and a half month logjam. The state went under Governor’s rule on January 8th after the demise of former Chief Minster and Mehbooba mufti’s father Mufti Mohammad Syed.
Meanwhile PDP senior leader Nayeem Akhtar confirmed to KNS that the party legislative meet has been convened on Thursday and said that it was the institution where the president will report about the developments after which the party will take final decision on before a formal process begins with BJP on government formation.
