Srinagar, Jan 01 (KNS): The Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar on Saturday said that the picture of one of slain militants killed in Anantnag encounter matches with JeM top commander Samit Dar, who was involved in Lethpora attack.
Kashmir zone police on its official Twitter handle, quoting IGP Kashmir said that the picture of slain militant matches with Samir Dar, who was the last surviving militant involved in Lethpora attack in Pulwama district.
The IGP said that police will go for DNA sample matching to ascertain the same.
“The picture of one of the killed #terrorists in #AnantnagEncounter on Dec-30th matches with JeM top commander Samir Dar, who was the last surviving terrorist involved in Lethpora #Pulwama #TerrorAttack. We are going for DNA sample matching: IGP Kashmir,” police Tweeted.
Notably, three militants of JeM outfit were killed in Anantnag encounter two days ago. (KNS)
