Jammu, Feb 21 (KNS): Daily wagers of Public Health Engineering department on Monday gheraoed the office of Union MoS, Dr Jitendra Singh, demanding justice and redressal of issues being faced by them.

 

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that the protesting daily wagers assembled outside the office of Jitendra Singh and demanded justice. 

 

One of the protesting daily wager said that the police were using force to stop us, but they are the ones who provide water to every citizen. 

 

“Then why is the police doing lathi charge. We have not committed any crime. We are ready to face bullets if administration wants to stop us but we won’t surrender and will fight for our demands,” he added.

 

The protestors warned that they take their protest march towards New Delhi in favour of their demands. “For about 25 years we are doing our duties and we have chosen our representatives so that they can solve our issues.” (KNS)
