Srinagar,24 May (KNS): Director of Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat today chaired a meeting regarding the establishment of two Pesticide Testing Laboratories and one Soil Testing Laboratory in the district Kupwara, Kulgam and Pulwama respectively as the funds for the same have been earmarked by Government. The said meeting was attended by the concerned Chief Horticulture Officers, Soil Analyst, SALAL Srinagar besides other officers of the department.

During the meeting, different aspects of the establishment of said labs like preparation of DPRs etc. were thoroughly discussed. In the end, Director described the setting up of these laboratories as a welcome step for the farming community.

Director also highlighted the importance of these labs and stressed for timely completion of the projects.(KNS)
