Says Central rule no substitute to popular government

Budgam, Dec 13 (KNS): Maintaining that Central rule was no substitute to popular government, Chairman People's Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Yaseen on Monday stressed on the restoration of the political process in Jammu and Kashmir. He urged the centre to hold Assembly elections without waiting waiting for Delimitation Commission's report.

Speaking to various public deputations during his visit to Goji Thaji, Reyaar, Arizal, Kachwari areas in Khansahib Budgam, Hakeem Yaseen urged for restoration of political process adding that Centre should immediately restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir besides holding assembly elections. He said these Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) would go a long way to bridge the gap of mistrust and alienation among the people. He said people of Jammu and Kashmir want protection to thier rights on land and Jobs. He assured the people that his party will leave no stone unturned for protecting interests of the people. He said all machinations to infringe honour and identify of Jammu and Kashmir would be repulsed by the people by all democratic and constitutional means.

The people apprised the PDF leader about their day to day burning problems and generally complained about the non availability of adequate power and drinking water supply and dilapidated condition of roads. He assured them that all the demands put forth by them would be raised before the higher authorities in the administration. (KNS)
