Poonch December 18 (KNS):  Senior Vice President J&K  People’s Conference and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil today said that people of Jammu and Kashmir are today suffering due to the historical blunders committed by National Conference. History is a testament to the fact that NC can go to any extent in order to satiate their lust for power.  Vakil asserted that people of J&K are facing the brunt of 1987 rigged elections. "The reason behind the political turmoil in the state is that governments have been formed on the basis of fooling our own people and rigging the democratic process of elections." "The blatant rigging of 1987 resulted in eruption of militancy and subsequent bloodshed in J&K. Vakil was addressing a party workers convention in Poonch today

While addressing the gathering Vakil also lambasted at current LG admin and said "Unemployment is at all time high and it is shocking in this LG led Admin recruitments are no where but recruitment scams are more. People have lost faith and confidence in this LG admin where everyday a recruitment initiated is being cancelled on the pretext of scams. LG admin is playing with the lives of  thousands of young people who after working hard appear for these exams just to get to know one day that these exams have been cancelled Vakil added. 
 
Vakil also urged UT administration and Central government to address the concerns of Kandi areas and said there is a need to focus to improve road connectivity, medical facilities and organise a special recruitment drives in the poonch  area while taking into account the poverty and backwardness of the educated unemployed youth.
While addressing the gathering Sr. Peoples Conference leader Raja Aijaz Ali said Peoples conference will always fight to ensure equitable development of all the regions of Jammu and Kashmir as it strengthens the bonds of unity and integrity of the J&K which is the need of the hour. He described the political situation in general in J&K as quiet fluid where good governance, transparency and accountability are missing from the scene and in particular the administration is behaving like a mute spectator. 
Addressing the gathering Youth Vice President J&K PC and Incharge Poonch Constituency Er. Rydham Singh appealed youth of the J&K to strengthen PC and join to strengthen hands of Sajad Gani Lone. (KNS)
