People joining AP due to its struggle for restoration of J&K's honour: Manjit Singh

Jammu, Oct 12 (KNS): Apni Party Provincial President Jammu, Manjit Singh today people are joining the Party in view of its policies and agenda for the restoration of honour of Jammu and Kashmir which was snatched on August 5, 2019.

Addressing a joining programme which was organised by District General Secretary, Sardeesh Rana, Manjit Singh said that the people are hopeless in Jammu and Kashmir with the downgrading of the erstwhile State into a Union Territory and there is a popular demand among the people to restore the Statehood.

“The Apni Party is committed towards the restoration of Statehood and protection of rights of the people,” Manjit Singh said while welcoming the people who joined Party on the occasion at Apni Party Office.

Prominent among those who joined Apni Party include Gurdayal Kundal, Mohinder Lal Langeh, Joginder Lal Langeh, Pawan Kumar, Rajinder Kumar, Balwan Dass, Arun Kumar, Vishal Gupta, Raj Kumar, Jeet Raj, and others.

He said that the protection of employment for local youth, ensuring employment in developmental projects, and the industrial sector in J&K.

“We will not compromise on the interest of the people of J&K. Jammu is especially suffering due to the negligence and false promises of BJP. The Apni Party will not let Jammuities alone and will fight for the rights of Jammu people,” he said.

He further said that the tourism sector, business, hotel and other sectors are in the worst condition in Jammu which need a comprehensive policy for its revival from the Govt.

“The policy for the revival of the business, and ensuring employment for locals will be possible when there is an elected Govt,” he said. It is therefore imperative to hold early assembly elections without further delay, he further said.

District President Jammu Urban, Pranav Shagotra, while speaking on the occasion, said Jammu Municipal Corporation has not been able to provide even basic amenities in Jammu depriving people of developmental activities.

“The development is being done in Jammu on a selective basis. The Corporators of a political party are facilitated by JMC to do developmental activities and rest others have to face hardships,” he alleged.
