Kupwara, Jan 05 (KNS): After a year State health department has failed to make a health centre functional in Lolab area of Kupwara, last year Army vacated it after 19 years of stay. BMO Sogam demands compensation from Army.
Without caring public miseries and hardships the health department deliberately is not using the vacated building in Krusan Lolab north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. “We will not start work there till Army gives us compensation,” BMO Sogam Dr Firdous said.
He said that I told Army and district administration that we need a new building because this building is in premises of Army camp.
Meanwhile people of the area have appealed the authorities to provide them medical facility as they are being toiling since years. Currently health centre is functional in a rented one room which according to residents is not functional. (KNS)
