‘Clashes erupt in Tral’

Srinagar, Jul 12 (KNS): People from across the Valley continue to throng the residence of Hizb commander, Burhan Muzaffar Wani on Tuesday to express solidarity with the bereaved family.
Witnesses told KNS, people from all walks of life thronged Burhan’s residence where they paid tributes to slain Hizb militant.
People in large number on Bikes, private vehicles, load carriers and other transports reached to Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district while carrying banners and flags in their hands.
“The visiting people also marched towards Eidgah to mark a protest and chanted pro-freedom and anti-India slogans,” they said.
Witnesses said that inhabitants have installed langers outside the residence of Burhan Wani for the people who are visiting Burhan’s residence.
Meanwhile, witnesses said that clashes were also erupted between youth and forces in Tral, adding that police resorted to aerial firing to disperse the agitating youth.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Most popular Hizb commander, Burhan Muzaffar Wani alongwith his two associates were killed in an encounter that raged between forces and militants in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.
The body of the slain Hizb commander was handed over to the family on Saturday morning for the last rites. “About 2 lakh people attended the funeral prayers of Burhan Wani,” reports said, adding that 31 youth were also killed during the clashes between youth and forces in Kashmir following the killing of Wani.
Nonetheless, there was no official confirmation about the death toll of the youth killed in ongoing cycle of violence in Kashmir. (KNS)
