PDP State Youth President Waheed Ur Rehman appeals government to consider the legitimate grievances of NYC’s.
He said that the PDP depicts of making the youth powerful, empowered and wants to reclaim pride and status of youth.
Lashing out at previous coalition government led by Omar Abdullah, he said six years of "Omar Abdullah's misrule, corruption, destruction of system by him and his government were responsible for whatever alienation that exists in the state, including the frustration of NYC’s".
It is pertinent to mention here that NYC’s are on hunger strike from past 17 days for implementation of cabinet order no.: 192/CIR 2014 dated 22-10-2014 vide govt order no.: 737eduof 2014. During the hunger strike, 85 people have been hospitalized so far including 7 females. During NC’s rule, Para said, Jammu and Kashmir saw complete reversal of youth engagement in Kashmir started during the PDP's rule in 2002.

He further added that Omar's government allegedly, bungled relief items, created fake administrative units, engaged NYC’s and hampered them in air without any proper consent. He opened non-existent schools and left behind a deficit of 10,000 crore. He alleged that NC government created a huge army of employees and deceived them in the name of seasonal and casual employees.
He further added that, the empowerment of the people particularly the youth forms is the key element of the PDP’s agenda and the party will fight for it without any compromises. He said PDP has formulated a comprehensive policy for the development of every section of the society and it will be its effort to involve every individual in its story of change.
Adding that government is committed to address the issues of people besides fulfill their aspirations. Para, appealed government to consider the issue of National Youth Corp’s for their absorption and regularization of their services. (KNS)
