PDP workers hold emergency meeting in Bandipora after resignation of DDC member from Bonakoot block 

Bandipora, Apr 6 (KNS): An emergency meeting of People's Democratic Party workers of Bonakoot block in Bandipora was held on Tuesday afternoon after the resignation of party's DDC member from the block. 

Block development council chairperson, Bashir Ahmad Baba owing allegiance to PDP and zone president Bandipora block Inam ul Haq were among the important participants. 

Sources said that the meeting was held in the wake of resignation of Bonakoot DDC member, Abdul Gani Wani from PDP and was received as a shock by the party workers, who had tirelessly worked for his success in the recent DDC elections.

They said that the workers made an appeal to Wani to reconsider his decision and come back to party fold. "The workers said that any grievance with the party high command is an inhouse problem which doesn't not deserve desertion."

Meanwhile, Abdul Gani Wani has conditioned his resignation with the party issues raised with the party president which according to him were not given any consideration.

Sources said that Wani assured his workers over phone that he will always be at their back and would not join any other party.(KNS)
