PDP will voice concerns of people of J&K in Parliament: Mehbooba Mufti

Srinagar, May 08 (KNS): PDP President and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday urges people to vote and assured their concerns will be voiced in the Parliament.

She said since Article 370 was abrogated, efforts are on to disempower people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to reporters in central Kashmir’s Chadoora, Mehbooba as per Kashmir News Service (KNS) emphasized upon people to realize the situation and vote for PDP so that concerns pertaining to people of J&K will be taken up in the Parliament.

While recollecting era of PDP founder, she said PDP lives in the hearts of people due to pro-people efforts taken by party founder Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed who reversed Ikhwan, SOG and POTA. She said PDP ensured heart-to-heart connectivity and opened Muzaffarabad road for the larger interest of people of Jammu and Kashmir and across.

She urged people to cast their ballot in favor of PDP so that your genuine concerns will be addressed in the Parliament.

She added that since Article 370 was abrogated, New Delhi is continuously resorting to disempower people of Jammu and Kashmir. “The rights of people of J&K are being snatched, people are being evacuated from their properties, electricity is being provided on higher rates. This kind of approach New Delhi has adopted in J&K is deplorable for us,” she said. (KNS)
