PDP to take final decision on attending all-party meeting after PAGD meeting, authorizes Mehbooba Mufti to take final call

Srinagar, June 20 (KNS): The Democratic Party's Political Affairs Committee (PAC), which held a virtual meeting on Sunday to decide future course of action on the Prime Minister's invite for all-party meeting on June 24, authorized Mehbooba Mufti to decide about attending the meeting and it was decided that final decision will be taken after PAGD meeting on Tuesday,

Source told news agency KNS that the PAC members authorized Mehbooba Mufti to decide about attending the all-party meeting as they cannot hold meetings on a daily basis to decide about the future course of action and final decision will be take after PAGD meeting

A senior party leader, who attended the meeting While talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that the PAC members unanimously decided to authorize the party chief to decide about attending the meeting while final decision will only be taken after PAGD meeting on Tuesday  

They said that all members of PAC endorsed that Mehbooba Mufti and PDP should participate. A final decision in this regard has been kept pending till meeting of PAGD is convened likely on June 22 . 

Sources added that PAC members reiterated that it should not deviate from stand but should remain open to talks. "Party chief is in favour of Dr Farooq Abdullah representing the PAGD but the same was not supported by maximum members and the final decision has been kept reserved till PAGD meeting is convened," they said.

"Mehbooba Mufti said that agenda of talks seems Delimitation and Election which is not our agenda. Before dialogue GOI should have taken some confidence building measures. A final decision would be taken after PAGD meeting," they said. (KNS)
