'Person has no locus standi in the party: Yasir Reshi

Srinagar, May 4 (KNS): Fissures have erupted in People’s Democratic Party in Sonawari unit as Sheikh Nazir Ahmad (Ganastani), who claims to be a senior party worker, alleges that the workers are angry with the new District President in Bandipora district, Yasir Reshi.
Ganastani alleged that Reshi, who is a PDP MLC, has annoyed the workers due to his attitude and that is harming the party base in the area.
“After Yasir Reshi has been given the new party post in the district, he has become rude with workers and does not treat them well when they approach him with their grievances. It is workers that make the party not leaders,” Ganastani said.
He has appealed the party president and General Secretary to look into the issue, and save the workers from drifting away from the party due to Reshi’s “arrogance and attitude”.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
However, Reshi refuted the allegations, saying that the person has no locus standi in the district or in the party. “If he has any grievances, he should convey them to the Block president,” Reshi told KNS.
PDP General Secretary Nizam-u-Din Bhat told KNS that these are all one sided allegations. “PDP is a party of disciplined workers and leaders. It is an issue of indiscipline within the party. We have taken a serious note of it. We will call all the persons involved in it and see what the reality,” Bhat told KNS. (KNS)
