Srinagar, Mar 26 (KNS): Asking PDP to explain before people on what new terms and conditions it formed the government with the BJP Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) vice president and MLC G MongaSaturday said for the last almost three months PDP leadership was asking for new CBMs from the Center before re-entering into the alliance.
“Now when the PDP has finalized the deal with the BJP it owes an explanation to the people of Jammu and Kashmir what it got in return from the BJP. People want to know what transpired between PDP president Mehbooba Mufti and Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said in a statement issued to KNS.
Monga said last year also the PDP took more than two months to form the government. “Then after forming the government, PDP leadership claimed they have signed ‘Agenda of Alliance’ with the BJP. But after the death of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed sahib, the PDP leadership went on record to say that BJP led Center didn’t implement the ‘Agenda of Alliance’,” the Congress MLC said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“After Mufti sahib’s death, the PDP leadership made it clear they will not re-enter into alliance with the BJP unless New Delhi takes J&K specific political and economical confidence building measures. Now they (PDP) owe an explanation what they have got from the BJP after almost three months of negotiations,” Monga asked.
He said that PDP and BJP can’t hoodwink people of J&K anymore by their hollow promises. “From March 2015 to January 2016, instead of working for the development of the state both the parties wasted time in raking up one after other controversy. Congress as a responsible opposition will not allow the two parties to replay the drama,” he vowed. (KNS)
