Srinagar, Aug 22 (KNS): PDP Coordinator and former Forest minister Sofi Mohi-u-Din Tuesday morning passed away at SKIMS Soura. He was suffering from multiple ailments for the last several months he was treated in several hospitals in Delhi and admitted recently at SKIMS Soura where he passed away Tuesday morning.
Sofi Mohi-u-Din initially one of the founding members of Peoples Conference fought 2002 assembly elections as an independent candidate and was inducted in PDP-Congress coalition ministry headed by Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in the year 2002.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe held forest port folio for three years.
Few years back he joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and was the party’s chief coordinator in Kupwara District.
Death has been widely condoled by political, social and cultural organizations of the State.
KNS also condoled the death and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
