Srinagar, Mar 08 (KNS) : People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader and Constituency Incharge Habba Kadal Arif Laigroo today held a meeting with party workers and local residents in Kani Mazar, Habba Kadal, where he urged party cadres to intensify public outreach ahead of the upcoming Municipal elections.
Addressing the gathering, Laigroo strongly criticized the present NC government, accusing it of failing to address the basic civic issues faced by the people of Srinagar. He said residents of old city areas, particularly Habba Kadal, continue to suffer due to skyrocketing electricity bills, dilapidated lanes and drains, and public parks that have been left in a state of neglect.
“It is unfortunate that despite repeated promises, the government has failed to provide even basic amenities to the people. The residents of Shaher-e-Khaas are struggling with broken infrastructure and administrative apathy while those in power remain busy making hollow claims,” he said.
