PDP Leader Renews Demand for Vande Bharat Stop at Budgam Station

Budgam, June 11 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Secretary of Anjuman Interfaith Dialogue Chapter has once again urged the Union Railway Ministry to approve a halt for the Vande Bharat Express at Budgam Railway Station.

In a statement, the leader recalled his earlier communication with the Railway Ministry on December 17, 2023, requesting the inclusion of Budgam station in the Vande Bharat route. He emphasized that Budgam, being the main railway station in the Kashmir division, remained operational even during disasters like the 2014 floods and serves as a key transport hub due to its proximity—just 7 km from Sheikh Ul Alam Airport and 5 km from the Ring Road.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

"I sincerely request the Railway Ministry to reconsider this long-pending demand. Granting a stop at Budgam will significantly improve connectivity and benefit the people of the region," he said.(KNS)
