Srinagar, Mar 12 (KNS): PDP leader and legislator Aga Muntazir on Thursday welcomed the bail granted to separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah, saying the development reinforces the importance of justice and due process in a democratic society.
In a statement, Muntazir said the decision brings hope to Shah’s family and well-wishers after years of incarceration.
“Justice and due process are fundamental pillars of any democratic society.

The PDP leader said he prayed for Shah’s well-being and hoped that he regains good health and strength.
Shah, a senior separatist leader from Kashmir, has been in jail for several years in connection with cases investigated by central agencies.(KNS).
