Jammu, Apr 10 (KNS): Minister for Public Works and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri today launched a plantation drive in memory of founder of party, Late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed at Green Belt Park, Channi Himmat in Jammu.
Chairman Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali, Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development, Social Welfare, Health & Medical Education Asiea Naqash, Legislators, M. Abass Wani, Firdous Ahmad Tak, Senior leaders of PDP including Ved Mahajan, Amreek Singh Reen, Nitish Mahajan, Surjeet Kour, R S Manga, Ch Hussain Ali Waffa, Hamid Choudhary, Deepak Handa, Varinder Singh Sonu, Harmeet Singh, B S Puri, Madan Chalotra, Sunil Pangotra and hundreds of people were present on the occasion.
The plantation drive was organised by PDP Gandhi Nagar Zone unit in memory of founder of party and ex Chief Minister, Late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed to pay rich tributes to him for his great and intellectual vision of developing Jammu and Kashmir as a modern state.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Paying tributes to Mufti, Veeri credited him the leader of repute who has made a history of taking all the region of the state together towards the path of development. He said Mufti sahib had a vision to unite the two regions of Jammu and Kashmir adding the best way of paying tributes to him is to carry forward his mission. Felicitating the organisers for conducting such function, the Minister stressed the need for extending the plantation drive at constituency levels so that the dream of late leader regarding green J&K is realized.
Recalling the contributions of late leader, Asiea Naqash and Ved Mahajan threw light on the life of late Mufti in his memory and pledged to extend the plantation drive in their respective constituencies. (KNS)
