‘PDP setting new benchmarks of introspection, accountability’

Srinagar, Nov 04 (KNS): Recalling the contribution of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in setting new benchmarks of introspection, accountability & justice in the system, the party today asked its workers to revive the tradition & save Kashmiri society from degeneration and impending disaster.
In a statement issued to KNS, while addressing the senior party leaders, Ministers, District and Zonal Presidents of Central Kashmir, here General Secretary, Mohammad Sartaj Madni said “When people reposed their faith in the institution of dialogue and reconciliation, giving PDP a chance in 2002, the party not only delivered on peace but liberated Kashmiris from the shackles of uncertainty. As the party has a proven track record of delivery on justice, security and peace, its efforts to lead Kashmir towards a better future needs to be supported and supplemented.”
He said that the political career of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the founder of PDP, remained full of challenges but his courage, conviction and vision helped change the course of tides. And, that remains the guiding light for the party. “It was the PDP that instilled confidence among people to rise against the elements who were seen as criminalizing politics and society in the past. Our party’s leadership has strong will to change the discourse & pull the state out of the maelstrom of pessimism and annihilation. In these crucial times, the people will have to stay strong, level headed and allow the party to deliver again,” Madni said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Speaking on the occasion, the senior party leader, Nizamudin Bhat said that while we lay onus on society and its conscientious class to make an appraisal of four month prolonged unrest we the inheritors of an ideology are also ready to stand in dock. “We should at this critical juncture of history stand up to maintain tradition of self-introspection and play a positive role. We have faith in the legacy and leadership of our party. Mehbooba ji has been working tirelessly to streamline the institutions of the governance & get the state out of current crisis,” he added.
