Jammu, Mar 01 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party has condoled the demise of Swami Raj Sharma IAS who held important position like Deputy Commissioner of 10 districts of the state, Commissioner Bhaderwah and member Finance Commission.
In a condolence meeting held at party office today, General Secretary, Ved Mahajan while paying tributes to Swami Raj said that Shramwas impressed with the policies of Late Mufti Mohd Sayeed and after retiring from the Govt Service joined PDP.
Mahajan described him as an able administrator, humble, sober and nobel soul. His passing away is a great loss for the society and state. He said that as a member of Finance Commission, he pointed out very boldly financial mismanagement. He wrote a book titled "A concise history of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh upto 1947 AD and "Essay of Philosophy of history". He has also written various articles for developing Bhaderwah as a tourist resort. He also started practice as advocate High Court after retirement.
Sr leaders S Rangil Singh, T S Bajwa, Daman Bhasin, Shanti Devi, Vijaya Dogra Katoch, Fallail Singh, Jatinder Bhat, Rajender Manhas, Satpal Singh Charak, Capt Anil Gour, Suresh Sharma, Romesh Koul, Ch Hussain Ali wafa, Hamid Choudhary, R K Bali, S Sukhvinder Singh, Ab Hafeez Wani, Nasir Shah, Pritam Kotwal, Surinder Dutta, Chaman Gupta and others also paid tribute to Swami Raj Gupta.
