Srinagar, Oct 06 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed concern over the damage caused to standing crop due to hailstrom in upper belet of Kupwara.

In a statement issued here,Party Additional Spokesperson Tahir Sayeed demanded comprehensive compensation to the orchardists and farmers who suffered heavy losses due to heavy hailstorm.

Tahir urged the district administration Kupwara to go for immediate assessment of damages to pady and other crops and to disburse financial relief to the affected people.He expressed his sympathies with the farmer and horticulturists of Panzgam, Manzgam, Aalosa and Pachkote. (KNS)
