Handwara, Nov 17 (KNS): A day after power paucity was reported from various areas of Handwara in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, Executive Engineer PDD Handwara came with a clarification and appealed consumers to use supply properly.
According to Kashmir News Service, Executive Engineer PDD sub division Handwara Mohammad Maqbool said that there is over-all power crisis and due to huge demand of power, the supply is getting affected.
He said every day the department is receiving 10-15 damaged transformer from its jurisdiction.
He appealed consumers not use heaters, boilers and other heavy loaded electric gadgets through which the supply is getting effected frequently.
He said that department is well aware about the ongoing exams of 10th and 12th and said that if people will cooperate things will be normal.
Yesterday, Trade President Handwara alleged that due to unscheduled power cuts the business of shopkeepers are getting effected badly. (KNS)
