Kupwara, July 18 (KNS): An employee of Power Development Department (PDD) was Thursday afternoon electrocuted in Qalamabad area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

An employee identified as Aijaz Ahmad Malla, son Sonullah Malla of Batagund Mawer, was electrocuted while repairing an electric line at Qalamabad, locals said as per KNS Correspondent.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Aijaz according to locals was repairing electric line a few meters away from the Grid Station Audoora Qalamabad. He got electrocuted due to the negligence of grid employee, locals alleged.

Reports said that he was taken to NTPHC Centre Qalamabad where from he was taken to district hospital Handwara where from doctors referred him to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment. (KNS)
