PDCA urges Govt to make drugs, other basic facilities available at hospitals

Srinagar, Apr 16 (KNS): The Private Diagnostic Centres Association (PDCA) on Tuesday urged the government not to provide better health care facilities to the patients visiting the Valley’s hospitals.

Association while talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that the hospitals must make the triplicate Photostat machines available so that the attendants who are in dire need of Xeroxing the documents will not suffer.

They said the attendants who accompany their old aged parents are being forced to move from pillar to post to Xerox the papers during which their patients face immense hardships.

The association further stated that the attendants are also being forced to move from one block to another for getting a simple tube to do the transfusion of blood.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

They added that the mushrooming of diagnostic centres and medical shops be stopped forthwith. It stated that the district health officials be directed to conduct the raids to identify the centres running without proper registration.

The Association also demanded that Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients be relaxed from the examinations and other related things conducted at the hospitals.

They also said that the hospitals are running short of drugs here and all the hospitals be directed to make the drugs available at proper place in the hospital premises.

The association later appealed the authorities to fulfill the demands of the association. (KNS)
