Handwara, April 14 (KNS): A PCPG meeting was held today at Police station Qalamabad in north Kashmir’s Handwara town.
According to police spokesman, With an aim to strengthen relations with Pubic & also to establish mass contacts, today a PCPG meeting was held at Police station Qalamabad .
He said, Police station Qalamabad convened a public interaction meeting in which good number of respectables of the area including DDC Member mawer, Khurshid Ahmad Dar, Social activist Abdul Gani Reshi Sarpanch Audoora G.R.Tali Sarpanch Qalamabad Mustaq Ahmad Wani, Social activist G.N.Mir Haril Block President AIP mawer Nazir Ahmad war, president Traders federation Qalamabad Farooq Ahmad Ganie,General Secretary Raja Akbar President mini bus Association handwara cum sarpanch sharhama lach Gh mohd Tantray, Panchs, Sarpanchs, Lumberdars and transporters participated .
The meeting was chaired by Superintendent of Police Handwara Sundeep Gupta-IPS besides SDPO Handwara Fariz Hussain-JKPS, SHO Police Station Qalamabad Inspector Shiekh Javid and SOG officer Qalamabad Nazir Ahmad and other police officers of PS Qalamabad were also present in the meeting .
The participants highlighted various issues of public importance & some issues related to civil administration. Apart from the issues, the participants demanded for a relaxation in transport fare which is according to locals very high and also requested for organizing a sports event in Qalamabad to boost the morale of local players.
Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants, SP Handwara given spot directions to the subordinate officers and assured them that other issues pertaining to Police will be solved in shortest possible time.Matters pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the civil administration for their redressal on priority.
He also asked them to keep cooperating with Police as in the past so that the motto of a peaceful atmosphere in the area is achieved.
The meeting was concluded with thanks and appreciation from Public side.
Meanwhile SP handwara also greets participants on commencement of Ramadhan, prays for unity, peace and brotherhood.
