PC leader wraps up Poonch's Border Premier League

Poonch, Nov 19 (KNS): November 19, Border Premier League T-20 Cricket Tournament got concluded at border village Gulpur here today. The main purpose of this tournament was awareness, to keep youth away from evils of the society, and to encourage them into sports.

It was organized by NS Bedi Club and Ground Committee Gulpur organized a T-20 Cricket Tournament at Cricket stadium Gulpur.

A senior leader of Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference Er. Rydham Singh was invited as the chief guest of the event.

On the occasion, Rydham Singh appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee and congratulated the winner and runner-up teams of the tournament by presenting them with awards. As per organizers, a total of six teams of different areas participated in the tournament which played good cricket, and finally, two teams Kohli Knight Rider and Kohli Thunder qualified for the final. In the final of the tournament, Kohli Thunder won the toss made 182 runs with the help of Harsimran Singh's 46 in just 21 balls.

Chasing the target of 182, Kohli Knight Rider only reach 150 runs. Mohd Sohail was declared man of the match whereas Inderpal Singh who played good cricket during the tournament was declared man of the series.

The winning team was provided 50,000/ rupees cash price and runner-up with rupees 25,000/ cash price. Rydham Singh expressed his well-wishes for the winner and runner-up teams of the tournament at the stage said, "these types of tournaments teach manners and discipline to youth". The organizing committee showed gratitude to Sarla BN commanding officer for providing his support. (KNS)
