Expressing serious concern and anguish over the inhuman killing of three youth in Pattan, the Democratic Freedom Party chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah has called for complete shutdown on Wednesday.
In a statement to KNS, Shah said the killing of youth is extremely sorrowful and said youth are the assets of the nation. Terming such killings as shocking, he expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
Meanwhile, Shah while taking notice of harassment of Kashmiri students in Udhaypur, Rajasthan said the Kashmiri students studying in various states of India are continuously being targeted by communal elements and are subjected to physical assault and harassment.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He severely criticized the state administration over failing to ensure the safety and security of these students and said the state government would be wholly and solely responsible if any untoward happens with valley students in any part of India.
Shah while congratulating Mian Abdul Qayoom on being re-elected as Bar Association President expressed hope that the association continues to contribute towards freedom movement and provide every possible legal support to political prisoners. He also wished other members and representatives of the association on their appointments. (KNS)
