Srinagar, Feb 27 (KNS): The residents of Handwara area of Kupwara district on Monday said that the passenger vehicles including mini-buses, Sumos and Magics have kept the rate list issued by the administration aside and are charging the passengers on their own will.
According to KNS correspondent, the passenger vehicles travelling on Kolangam-Handwara route don’t bother to follow the rate list issued by the administration and are charging the passengers on their own will.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“We are being compelled to pay the fare on the will of passenger vehicle owners,” the passengers said.
They said that the government must look into the issue and should deal with the passenger vehicle owners strictly.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, G M Dar told KNS that they will look into the matter. “We will look into the matter and anyone found violating the norms will be fined,” he said. (KNS)
