Handwara, Sep 28 (KNS): Pashmini Kani skill is an unique skill in India and it was limited to Srinagar city only, but due to efforts of DC Kupwara Khalid Jahangir and Assistant Director Handlooms Ali Mohd Mir its first rural centre is functional at very remote area Bahaderpora Baderkali Rajwar of Kupwara District.

Assistant Director Handlooms Kupwara Ali Mohd Mir told Royal Kashmir Govt needs to boost this centre so that more and more women can learn Pashmini Kani weaving skill.
Women working in this centre said “Govt should provide us loans so that we can enhance our activities in this particular skill.” (KNS)
