Srinagar, Apr 21 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party Vice President Usman Majid on Sunday said that his party will decide whether to support or contest from the North Kashmir in a few days.

Talking to reporters here at srinagar, Usman said that they had initially decided to contest all five seats, but have now limited their focus to two.

"I personally believe we should contest the North Kashmir seat where we have considerable strength", Usman said adding that the final decision, however, is pending, as the party president has yet to make an announcement.

"Sajad Lone has also appealed our Party President for support in North Kashmir, Our Party president will decide on it. Once any decision is taken, you will be informed", he said.

Usman said that Apni party has been strengthening its roots among the people for the last four years. "We were the only party that was visible on ground after article 370 abrogation.”

On being asked how should there be the MP he aspires to be for North Kashmir, Usman said that People of J&K don’t expect anything from Parliament Members, given their 70-year history.
"There’s a dire need for a voice in parliament that truly represents the people’s suffering", he said.(KNS)
