Srinagar, Jul 12 (KNS): Parents of the children studying in Iqbal Memorial Institute are angry with the school management over asking for “high” fee “in violation” of the norms fixed by Fee Fixation Committee (FFC) of the government.
A delegation of Parents Association told KNS that the school management is demanding from them to pay fee which is violating the FFC norms.
“We are being asked to pay Rs 2000 for our wards. And those who are not paying, the results of their tests are withheld by the management,” the parents said.
The aggrieved parents said that as per an agreement between parents and the management in a meeting, it was agreed by the latter to reimburse the fee which the parents have paid in extra to the FFC norms.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“It was agreed by the management of the Institute that Rs 2000 as on account fee shall be charged from each student till the FCC takes a decision in the matter and the on-account payment shall be adjusted accordingly,” reads the agreement of the meeting.
The parents said that the management is violating the agreement even after the FFC has asked the institute to cut down the fee payment from Rs 2000 to different ranges as per the Class.
Chairman of Iqbal Memorial Institute Muhammad Yousuf-Ul-Umar told KNS the School management has submitted an appeal before the committee for review of their decision. “Once the final decision is delivered, the management will fix the fee accordingly,” he said. (KNS)
