Srinagar, 12 April (KNS):The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Senior Leader and Former MLC Sheikh Ghulam Qadir Pardesi on Monday greeted people at the very onset of Holy Month of Ramzan. 

In his message, Pardesi stated that the holy month affords the people a window of opportunity to elevate themselves spiritually. He also stated that the holy month also provides an opportunity to people to purge themselves of vice and malevolence. "I pray that the day acts as harbinger of peace and prosperity in the region and salvage the humanity from the prevailing crises induced by COVID-19. I pray for the return of healthier times, " He added. 

Meanwhile, Pardesi also greeted the people on the auspicious eve of Navratras and Baisaki, hoping that the festivities increase the prospects of peace, amity, and brotherhood in J&K. He said such festivals as Navratra and Baisaki are emblematic of Jk's syncretic, and pluralistic culture.(KNS)
