Says militant strategies always being thwarted

Srinagar, July 22 (KNS): Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Dilbagh Singh Friday said that Pakistan has adopted a new strategy of militancy in Kashmir where they want crime to be committed and criminals to go scot free, but their strategies are always thwarted.

Talking to reporters in Anantnag, DGP said that hybrid militancy in Kashmir is a new challenge for security forces as it is a strategic move by Pakistan to promote faceless militancy here, but their all strategies are always thwarted.

He said that militants using small arms get vanished after targeting different people in Kashmir, but police have worked out and arrested many militants and their associates involved in those crimes.

He further said that the police will not let these nefarious crimes of militants go unpunished, and security grid is aware of every step of militants and their handlers, while action is being taken accordingly.

"Pakistani militants are using social media to destroy the career of the youth here. These handlers stationed in Pakistan make contact with their associates here and for that, they use social media to lure innocent youth aged between 16 and 18 years," he added. (KNS)
