Srinagar, June 13(KNS): The Pahalgam Trade and Civil Society Alliance on Saturday thanked Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for reopening key tourist destinations in south Kashmir and urged the administration to allow access to more tourist spots in the region.
In a statement, Alliance chief spokesperson Mushtaq Pahalgami said Chandanwari had already been reopened, while Gulshan Park in Aishmuqam was reopened on Friday, fulfilling commitments made during a recent meeting with the Lieutenant Governor.
He thanked Sinha as well as the divisional and district administration for responding positively to public demands regarding the reopening of tourist destinations.
Pahalgami, however, urged the authorities to allow tourist vehicles to move beyond Lower Chandanwari up to the main Chandanwari area, saying the move would facilitate visitors and provide a boost to tourism-related activities.
