Pulwama, 10 Feb (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday bagged the chairperson post of district development council in south Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Sources told news agency KNS that Bari Andrabi of PDP was elected as chairperson of DDC Pulwama after he secured 9 votes during the election meeting held here.

They said that Mukhtar Ahmad Bandh of NC was elected as vice-chairperson after he secured 9 votes against his rival candidate.

Earlier, election meeting of all the elected DDC members of Pulwama was called by district election officer Pulwama to elect chairperson and vice-chairperson for the district. (KNS)
