Overall situation remained peaceful: IGP

Srinagar, November 28 (KNS): I G P Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Monday said overall situation in Kashmir remained peaceful during first poll day.
Taking to KNS, IGP said, "over all situations remained under control throughout Kashmir division except one incident of minor stone pelting at polling location CR Pora in kulgam district in which one voter injured.
He said FIR has been registered at PS DH Pora.

Large numbers of people have come out to cast their votes during the first phase of District Development Council Elections 2020. Long queues have been seen despite severe cold conditions in Kashmir Division and hilly areas of Jammu Division.

The DDC elections are being held for the first time for electing representatives to the District development Councils leading to local government has gone well with the people and they are coming out in large numbers.(KNS)
