Srinagar, Jan 06 (KNS): Over a dozen leaders, who had joined former chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad led Democratic Azad Party, are likely to join back the Congress party today in New Delhi, sources said here.
Sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that Congress have scheduled a press conference in this regard at party headquarters in New Delhi today.
They said the press conference will be addressed by KC Venugopal, Jairam Ramesh, Rajani Patil and Shri Pawan Khera at 11.30 am today.
They said at least 18 leaders, who had joined Ghulam Nabi Azad’s party after resigning from the Congress are likely to join back the party today.
They added the leaders including former Jammu and Kashmir deputy chief minister Tara Chand and many other senior leaders.
Notably, Tara Chand along with two leaders were expelled by Ghulam Nabi Azad in December last year over allegations of anti-party activities. (KNS)
