Srinagar, June 14 (KNS): National conference senior leader and MLC Dr S Bashir Ahmed Veeri cornered government in legislative council repeatedly on death of Suriya Qazi W/O Mehraj ud din Qazi R/O New housing colony Bijbehra due to share negligence of doctors.
While replying Health Minister couldn't satisfy Dr Veeri when he countered that in annexure of reply you have shown 526 deliveries and 26 major gynecological operations have been conducted in Bijbehra hospital whereas same reply shows that there is no gynecological doctor posted, instead one opthomologist doctor is working against gynecological post. Dr Veeri thundered, "Who is performing these sensitive operations". It is evident that death occurred due to negligence and government has failed in fixing responsibility and providing justice to the deceased family, he said.
Dr Veeri wanted to raise supplementary on second part of his question regarding backdoor appointment of 2247 persons, about which Govt has tried to hush it up by ambiguous statement and tried to victimize only 133 persons so that rest of the people are not touched.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Dr Veeri was showing government papers in which deptt of Law & parliamentary affairs vide HD/Legal/NG/MR-154/2014-M. Dated: 29.8.2014 revels that 2274 employees are illegal and wide order number HME/HRM/04/2013 clearly says these are illegal. Why director of health has with hold the salary of 133 only.
Dr Veeri wanted to ask the government on 11.7.2015 orders for withholding salary of these people were also issued but not implemented? Chairman shielded government by not allowing to raise the discussion on the issue.
All the members from opposition Ali Mohd Dar, Sajad Ahmad Kitchloo, Showkat Ahmad Ganai, Qaisar Jamshid lone, Dr Shahnaz Ganai, Master Noor Hussain and others were on toes and asking government to come clean on this scam which was exposed by previous government but is being shielded by present dispensation.
All the members came near the well and while realizing that government has decided to shield the scam walked out. Members from opposition were shouting that this government has let down one and all and is creating history in scams. (KNS)
