Delay in release of Mirwaiz moulvi Dr Umer Farooq unfortunate: Qayoom wani

Srinagar March 04:(KNS)  Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum has welcomed the decision of administration for opening Jamia Masjid Srinagar for Friday prayers after a gap of 30 weeks.
 
In a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), by Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani,  however, it has been urged that Jamia Masjid without the presence of Mirwaiz at pulpit  is incomplete when it comes to the religious and spiritual association of the devotees of this mosque as per its historical perspectives.
 
Wani said as a matter of belief and affection people feel the absence of Mirwaiz when he is not leading Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid.
 
Jammu.and.Kashmir Civil Society Forum vehemently demands the release of Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Umer Farooq from illegal house detention and his availability as a religious scholar and preacher at Jamia Masjid for leading Friday prayers to satisfy the soul of the people.(KNS)
