Poonch, Mar 04 (KNS): People from different villages of Poonch today called on Youth National Conference Provincial President Ajaz Jan in Poonch and raised serious concern over the delimitation process of panchayats and their wards.
They said that the delimitation is being carried out in a clandestine manner, against the spirit of democratic norms.
The deputationsists expressed apprehension that new panchayats and wards are being carved out as per the suitability of the ruling PDP-BJP dispensation.
“In majority of cases, public has not been consulted and officials from RDD are doing the process in consultation with ruling party leaders” locals said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Later in separate statement, Youth National Conference Provincial President Ajaz Jan cautioned the government not to go in a hurry for finalization of delimitation, which should be carried out by a commission headed by retired Judge of the High Court, process and instead to prepare a proper stage for it.
“Delimitation process should be fair and impartial”, he added. (KNS)
